Sponsor a child

The cost of maintaining an office, doing mailings, paying our staff members, supplying uniforms, and providing transportation to our members is very high, and the registration fee does not cover our expenses. In addition, many of our members are unable to pay the fee at all. For that reason, we are always happy to accept donations.

Would you be willing to “Sponsor a Child”? This means contributing the registration fee for a Brigade member who cannot afford it (offering them a Brigade scholarship) and helping with some additional costs.

You can sponsor a child for any of our programs

  • $600 per month for the After-school Program
  • $50 per semester for the Brigade Saturday Leadership Development, Field Trip and Life Skill Program.
  • $600 for 12 sessions of piano lessons or any other musical instrument.
  • $600 per child for summer camp.
  • $100 a day to feed 30 kids.
  • $600 for one-to-one mentoring. This opportunity is for high school students to engage in a 12 weeks mentoring program. The mentor will meet with the mentee 1 hour per week for twelve weeks. The meeting can be in person or on zoom depending on the student’s needs. It can also be a meeting with parents or teachers of the student. Mentoring sessions will cover four areas of a student’s life including identity, education/career path, spirituality and social life. Participants will meet with other students in their cohort 3 times for group projects, workshops or field trips
