The Brigade Youth Program would like to present awards and scholarships to worthy members each year and is actively looking for sponsors for a number of scholarships to acknowledge achievement in a variety of areas. Funding a Brigade scholarship ensures that a worthy member will be recognized and rewarded. If you have an interest as an individual, group, or business in encouraging Brigade members in this way, please come discuss the possibilities with us.

1. The Bishop Cederholm Creation Care Award – Awarded to a Brigade member who has promoted positive care of God’s creation and displayed energy and commitment in spreading awareness and response to the ecological crisis of climate change.
2. The Bishop Gates Reconciling Spirit Award – Awarded to a Brigade member who has acted as a reconciler to bring together people across difference, promote mutual understanding and reduce hostility in school, neighborhood, or the wider community.

3. The Rev. and Mrs. Sowale Social Justice Award – Awarded to a Brigade member who has shown deep sensitivity to the needs and integrity of others, creating space for the balance between power and powerlessness, showing strong leadership skills, embracing brave change and taking ownership.
4. ______________________________ – Awarded to a Brigade member  who has shown excellence in music, the marching band, and general musical skills.
5. ______________________________ – Awarded to a Brigade member who has achieved distinctions in academics.

6. ______________________________ – Awarded to a Brigade member who has been active in Biblical knowledge and spirituality.

7. ______________________________ – Awarded to a Brigade member who has been active in reverence, discipline and self-respect.

8. ______________________________ – Awarded to a Brigade member who has been active in inviting friends to the Brigade, recruitment, evangelism, and outreach.

9. ______________________________ – Awarded to a Brigade member  who has shown the spirit of good patriotism and deep knowledge of one’s own nation, culture, and heritage history.

10. ______________________________ – Awarded to a Brigade member who has been active in art and crafts, adventures, and creativity.

11. ______________________________ – Awarded to a Brigade member who has been constant in attendance and punctuality.

12. ______________________________ – Awarded to a Brigade member who has been active in fundraising activities and financial consciousness, as well as been an advocate for the preservation of products and against wastefulness of foods and services.

14. ______________________________ – Awarded to a Brigade member who has shown sportsmanship by always playing fairly and respecting the members of all teams.
