Will you like to walk alongside with a child or an adult in their life’s journey? Then come to the 2019 Mentor’s Training! It is often said that it takes a village to raise a child; this applies to everyone. We all need someone; a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on and a heart to pour into. We need someone to hold us accountable and to give us a push when we are discouraged.
If you are doubting whether you are fit to be a mentor, remember the words of Rachel Naomi Remen, that a blessing is not something that one person gives another. A blessing is a moment of meeting, a certain kind of relationship in which both people involved remember and acknowledge their true nature and worth, and strengthen what is whole in one another.
A blessing is a relationship which helps us to remember who we are. When we create a place for wholeness within our relationships, we offer others the opportunity to be whole without shame and become a place of refuge from everything in them and around them that is not genuine.
A child, a woman, a man, someone is out there waiting to receive this blessing of a mentor.
Will you answer this call?
I hope to see you there!
